And all is well and good and well appreciated when:

1. The holiday place is not too cold or hot.
-If it is hot, air-conditioned travel and stay is always helpful.
-If it is cold, warm rugs and hot tea make a cosy party.
2. There are enough clothes to not worry about getting drenched in rain, being sweaty or warm when needed.
3. You are energetic and fit enough to explore places.
4. You are a well-fed happy person. Travelling on empty stomach or bad food takes the joy out of exciting places!

I had one such exciting holiday. Everything was just perfect! Six days of non-stop fun with family, just what I needed to perk me up. Ofcourse, we tried to fit in a lot of places because we had little time.

This was not one of the lazy holidays where I would just want to relax, enjoy the serenity and feel rejuvenated and ready to go about doing the routine chores after the holiday! I daresay these kinds of holidays are very tempting. These are "splendid" for different reasons. But, well, a holiday is a holiday if it is fun!
